The photograph above was taken by Rita Gormley
on April 5, 2000, in the Missouri Botanical Gardens in
St. Louis, Missouri. The Greater St. Louis Iris Society
gathers at the Botanical Gardens for their club meetings. During
meetings, information related to iris is presented. At
the March, 2001, meeting, Jean Morris shared about Artistic
Designs to prepare the other members for an upcoming Iris
Show.

To the Left are Crystal
Tindall, Mary Ann Malloy and Nancy Price. Crystal
and Mary Ann are members of the Greater St. Louis
Iris Society in St. Louis, Missouri. Nancy
is a member of the Garden City Area Iris Club in
Garden City, Kansas. These three Region 18
Iris Club members worked together to create the Artistic
Design "Catfish Dinner." |
Jean
Morris, member of the Greater St. Louis Iris Society,
presented an Artistic Design Program at the March,
2001, meeting. After Jean shared the Principles
of Design, three members teamed together to demonstrate
the techniques of Mass-Line Design. White
and yellow sweet peas were utilized for the line
material. Lavender Dutch Iris, furnished
by Doris Loveland, were used as the flower to repeat
the line, creating unity and rhythm in the arrangement. Philodendron
leaves were utilized to complete the design.
Jean awarded the Arrangement a purple ribbon. Well
done gals. |

| The Washington Iris Club
invited Jim Morris to speak about grooming iris for
exhibition. Their show was scheduled for that
following weekend. Hope everyone is a winner. |

Here is a picture
that Nancy took at the Club's iris sale Saturday, July
29, 2000. Sale went well, nice weather and good
crowd.We thank Les Houser from
Dodge City, Kansas for this great photograph. Is
there any doubt which Iris Club this is?! Yep,
'tis the Boot Hill group in Dodge City during the annual
Dodge City Days activities. The
gal in the blue plaid shirt is Alice Sinclair. |

feast and fellowship at Ken and Mary Lou Wich's home
for a Thanksgiving Pheast on November 12, 2000. Those
