2007 Region 18 Spring Regional

        The Wichita Area Iris Club will be the host for the Region 18 Spring Regional Convention on May 11 and 12.  The Botanica Garden will showcase each guest iris from across the United States, including many from Region 18 hybridizers.  Four additional gardens have been selected for the afternoon tours.

        Friday night there will be a casual dinner and reception for guest speaker George Sutton and his wife Margaret.

        Saturday will be the garden tours with judges training, a banquet and the Region 18 general meeting.  The evening will be concluded with a presentation by guest speaker George Sutton and slides.

        Sunday will be the annual Wichita Area Iris Society iris show, which opens at 1 pm. In the past 3 years between 3,000 – 4,000 visitors have viewed the show. 

        A garden brunch/lunch will begin Sunday at 10:15 am.

        All convention registrants will receive a voucher for “free” irises, to be chosen from the first tour garden.
