Announcing
the Region 18 Distinguished Service Award
A new award for our
region has been created - The Region 18 Distinguished Service
Award. This award will honor and recognize individuals
who have a long record of distinguished service to the region
and to AIS.
Two awards may be presented
annually; one to a living individual and a posthumous award
for a deceased individual. Recipients of this award must
be (or have been at the time of death) members of Region
18. The first award(s) will be presented at the Region
18 Spring meeting in
May of 2006.
Who Can Make A Nomination: Any Region 18 affiliate
member may submit one or more nominations of individuals
to be considered for this award,
When Can Nominations
be Made: Nominations for the annual Award
may be made between anytime between June 1, and
April 1.
How Do I Make
A Nomination: Send a letter or an email
to Judy Keisling, Chairman of the Awards Committee, 12119
County Road A, Liberty, MO 64068-8114 or by e-mail: keisling@swbell.net with
the name of your nominee and a few paragraphs explaining
why you think the individual should be considered for
the award. Your letter should include specific examples
of that individual's contributions and service to Region
18 and AIS.
Who Selects the
Award Recipients? An Awards Committee
will review all nominations and forward them to the Region
18 Board. The Board will make its decision prior to the
Spring Regional. The Award recipient(s) will be announced
at the Spring Regional banquet.
